Our Story
The Journey of Siddhartha Educational Trust
Siddhartha Education Trust (Reg.), Bhatkal, was established in August 2009 under the leadership of Captain K.R. Naik Bhatkal, who holds M.Sc. (Agri) and LLB degrees. Captain Naik, a disciplined soldier, served in the Indian Army and later retired as Deputy Director of the Department of Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation. The trust began its educational initiatives with the goal of promoting quality education.
With the support of accomplished lecturers, retired educators, and other trustees, Siddhartha Pre-University College, Bhatkal, and Siddhartha English Medium High School, Panchavati, Shirali, Bhatkal Taluk, were established in 2010. These institutions are now celebrating their 10th anniversary. Approximately 500 students are currently enrolled in the Pre-University College, studying in Science and Commerce streams, while about 185 students are pursuing high school education.
In 2014, the Siddhartha International Public School with a focus on Mathematics, Science, and Hindi was inaugurated. In 2016, Siddhartha First Grade College (B.Sc. and B.Com) was established in Panchavati, Shirali. Today, the trust provides high-quality education to around 1,500 students in Bhatkal Taluk, offering programs ranging from LKG to degree courses.
